Welcome to my blog! I created ‘The Ravel Out’ to capture my makes while I unravel my sewing ideas, one stitch at a time.

Ravel (out)

verb

  1. unravel; untangle.

  2. undo (twisted, knitted, or woven threads).

Ruffled Oyster Sleeve Shift Dress

Ruffled Oyster Sleeve Shift Dress

I come to you once again with Cielo Top hack. This time, into a dress with the most dramatic sleeve. I’ve always wanted garments that were fancy enough for a night out but could also be thrown on on days that I didn’t want to think of what to wear. I think a shift dress fits in this category well and to make it even better, I added ruffled oyster sleeves to complete it. The “oyster sleeve” simply refers to the shape of the sleeve…high in the front and low in the back.
